Roommate moves in his wealthy parents and their 2 dogs into his 800 sq ft apartment without asking their roommate for permission: 'They just decided they’re too cheap to pay for a hotel'

Somehow, roommates and dogs seem to always lead to some weird situations. You'd think that wouldn't happen. You'd think that when you get into an apartment and one of the roommates has dogs, everyone would kind of understand what that means. Everyone would understand the unwritten rules and boundaries. But no. People get all weird when it comes to roommates having dogs, allowing people to bring dogs over without permission, suddenly not wanting the dogs in shared spaces. There's always something.

Now, take that and add the roommate's parents into it, and you end up with a complete mess. Which is what happened in this story. Without asking for permission or giving any consideration, this roommate's parents decided to move themselves and their two dogs into the 800 sq ft apartment. And it's not like they didn't have other options. And sure, it's only for a week, but this is a whole week that wasn't agreed upon. Having a bad reaction, we think, would be completely normal, but somehow, the subject became a controversial one on Twitter.

This is honestly such a strange situation. We would think that people like these parents, who have such better options, wouldn't choose to do this because of their own comfort. It's simply weird that they would move themselves and their dogs into such a small apartment, even if it's for a short span of time.

And no, we do not think that this person is overreacting. They did not have to agree to this happening, even if it's only for a week and for thanksgiving, and their roommate should have respected that. There are certain rules to being roommates, and bringing people and pets to live with them for any span of time is something that should 100% be discussed and respected.
